'Sunday Drive' on the Speedway

Motors running, tires squealing and ... guitar strings humming? It's just another day at the speedway.

"There can't be much more proof that North Wilkesboro Speedway is open for business," Speedway Association president Alton McBride Jr. said Tuesday.

Tuesday marked the second music video shot at the historic speedway and the return of the No. 3.

The North Wilkesboro Speedway is featured in a country music video being filmed for singer/songwriter Tim Dugger of Roanoke, Ala. Weekend Warriors Production, a Huntersville-based film company, spent much of Tuesday filming Dugger in scenes at the speedway for his song, "Sunday Drive," to be included on a still untitled CD scheduled for release at the end of this month.

Also featured in the video is NASCAR Camping World Series truck driver Austin Dillon, grandson of NASCAR race team owner Richard Childress, racing around the track. Weekend Warriors Production spokesman Andrea Lofton said the North Wilkesboro Speedway, where Dillon recently tested, was made available by Childress for the video shoot Tuesday. The tractor-trailer that hauls Dillon's truck was also at the speedway and was filmed Tuesday.
